About the Event

Join the ASHE Carolina Piedmont Chapter on Thursday, October 22nd, for an informative Lunch & Learn featuring Andrew Ventresca, Planning Director for the Town of Troutman and Chairman of the Charlotte Regional Transportation Planning Organization (CRTPO) Technical Coordinating Committee.

Andrew will share his perspective on the activities, responsibilities, and challenges involved in regional transportation planning. Drawing from more than two decades of experience in municipal and county planning, as well as 13 years of involvement with the CRTPO Technical Coordinating Committee, Andrew will provide insight into the coordination and decision-making that help shape transportation improvements across the Charlotte region.

Whether you work in the public or private sector, this Lunch & Learn is an excellent opportunity to hear directly from municipal engineering leaders, gain fresh perspectives, and connect with fellow ASHE members and transportation professionals as we look toward the future of transportation in the Carolinas.

Andrew Ventresca

Andrew Ventresca has worked in municipal and county planning for 21 years. He currently serves as Planning Director for the Town of Troutman, a rapidly growing municipality in southern Iredell County.

Andrew has served on the Charlotte Regional Transportation Planning Organization (CRTPO) Technical Coordinating Committee (TCC) for 13 years and currently serves as Chairman. Prior to becoming Chairman, he served as Vice-Chair of the TCC. During his tenure as Vice-Chair, Andrew also oversaw the CRTPO Project Oversight Committee, which was responsible for making recommendations regarding the distribution of discretionary transportation funding throughout the CRTPO region.

Outside of his professional work, Andrew is an avid cyclist and enjoys spending his free time exploring new areas.


Professional Development Hours (PDHs) will be available upon request.

The cost is just $35 for members, $50 for non-members and SPECIAL $20 for Government Employees who pay no later than SundayOctober 18, 2026. Please note, rates increase on the Monday before the event and there are no refunds for no-shows. Lunch will be provided and PDHs will be available upon request. This event is limited to 60 seats.
